Neurodivergent Employee Support Program for APS Workplaces

Empowering Inclusion Through Tailored Workplace Strategies.

Inclusion that works

Clear Path is a confidential, strengths-based support service for neurodivergent employees across the Australian Public Service. Developed in partnership with WHS, HR, and diversity teams, it provides early intervention, therapeutic support, and workplace coaching to improve emotional regulation, communication, and confidence at work.

Whether adjusting to a new diagnosis, managing burnout, or navigating communication challenges, Clear Path offers flexible pathways to meet individual needs—from short-term counselling to full workplace adjustment planning. All services are neuro-affirming, evidence-based, and tailored to each participant.

By reducing masking and preventing burnout, the program supports wellbeing, clarity, and sustainable performance. It also promotes psychological safety, inclusive leadership, and retention—helping departments meet diversity goals while fostering workplaces where neurodivergent staff can thrive.

Tailored Pathways of Support

Clear Path includes a range of structured support streams:

  • Clear Start – early-stage planning and adjustment toolkit for managers and employees

  • Foundational Support – short-term counselling to build resilience and emotional regulation

  • Communication & Regulation Coaching – dual support for workplace communication and confidence

  • Integrated Workplace Support – multidisciplinary support for complex or prolonged challenges

  • Manager Assist – education and coaching for leaders supporting neurodivergent team members

Each pathway includes an initial triage, validated outcome measurement tools, one-on-one support, and coordinated stakeholder reporting (with consent). Services are led by qualified counsellors and certified practising speech pathologists with deep expertise in neurodiversity, workplace coaching, and therapeutic care.

Supportive and Inclusive

Clear Path offers a proactive and personalised approach to supporting neurodivergent employees in the workplace. The program recognises that every individual’s experience is unique and provides practical, strengths-focused support that promotes self-awareness, emotional resilience, and effective communication.

Through a combination of therapeutic input, workplace coaching, and adjustment planning, Clear Path helps employees build confidence and navigate their roles more effectively. It also fosters collaboration between staff, managers, and HR, ensuring everyone is aligned in creating a psychologically safe and inclusive work environment.

What Sets Clear Path Apart

Clear Path removes barriers to support by focusing on individual needs—not diagnoses. Our neuro-affirming approach is designed for real APS workplace challenges, aligns with WHS & Diversity requirements, and delivers measurable outcomes.
