Transferrable Skills Analysis (TSA)

Clarifying Potential. Identifying Opportunities. Guiding Vocational Decisions.

Our Transferrable Skills Analyses (TSA) evaluate an individual’s employment history, education, qualifications, and aptitudes to identify alternative job options that are compatible with their current capacity. TSAs form the foundation of effective vocational redirection.

When a worker can’t return to their pre-injury role, a TSA provides a clear, evidence-based map of what they can do next. We analyse work history, qualifications, core competencies, and certified capacity to identify realistic job options and training pathways that align with ANZSCO and current labour-market demand.

When a TSA is useful

  • Pre-injury role is no longer suitable or available

  • Considering new employer pathways or redeployment

  • Needing objective options for RTW planning, LMA, or case conferencing

  • Clarifying if upskilling or short courses will close the gap to viable roles

What we assess

  • Work history & achievements: duties, environments, tools/tech, compliance needs

  • Skills mapping: technical, cognitive, interpersonal, and administrative skills

  • Qualifications & licences: currency, portability, RPL opportunities

  • Foundational capabilities: digital literacy, numeracy, written communication

  • Capacity alignment: physical, cognitive, and psychological tolerances against inherent job requirements

  • Interests & values: vocational preferences and psychosocial fit

  • Labour market signals: availability, entry requirements, typical hours, and hiring patterns

What’s included

  • Skills matrix linked to ANZSCO/industry frameworks

  • Shortlist of suitable roles (same employer or new employer) with capacity match, inherent requirements, and reasonable adjustments

  • Light Labour Market Analysis (LMA) for each role: demand snapshot, typical pay range, common selection criteria, and likely pathways in

  • Gap analysis & training plan: micro-credentials, short courses, or on-the-job options (with time and cost estimates)

  • RTW implications: staging of hours/duties, host placement potential, and review points

  • Clear recommendations for next steps (e.g., work trials, reverse marketing, coaching focus)
